The Ada County Coroner confirms that Matt Rissell, Founder of TSheets, has died of a self-inflicted gun shot wound in the early morning hours of Thursday, May 4. This is related to the shooting that was reported in the Banbury neighborhood we previously reported.

Rissell was the former CEO and Co-founder of TSheets before it was acquired by Intuit. Rissell was also a regular contributor as a business innovator to Forbes, The Huffington Post, and served on several council and advisory boards according to his LinkedIn profile.

Eagle Police are investigating the scene. Another person was seriously injured, and we are working to get updated information. We reached out to the City of Eagle and Police for more information but a reply has not been received yet. We will update this story as more information becomes available.

Staff from the school where the Rissell children attend will be meeting with students tomorrow. We are not naming the school for the privacy of the children. However, school leaders say staff will provide support for the students as well as the Rissell family. They ask parents of students to talk to their children tonight.
